Parents as we wrap up this first month of the new year I would encourage you all too look again at any resolutions you made either as an individual or as a family. Re-evaluate your resolutions, if they have been challenging and you have stopped then start them up again and make them less challenging. Or make some new ones! Make some new ones that are focused on your faith. Listen to the Holy Spirit calling you and respond to the call!
Also for this week I am excited to share with you this project that the various members throughout Diocese has been working on. https://richmonddiocese.org/where-two-or-three-are-gathered/
I see that this is a great tool for you to use within your home, but also with those that you are in contact with. Your friends, neighbors, parent friends, ect. To build the kingdom of God requires all of us and one of the best and most effective ways we can bring people to the Lord is through this model of small groups. So take some time this weekend and read through the website and look at the videos. Then pray and discern, “are there people in my life that I could bring closer to the Lord? How can I implement this in my family?” If you do try this let me know how it is going!
Not a lot of new content this week for you, but I hope that you would take the time this week to reflect and recollect on what is important in your life. Are relationships are important, starting first the one with our Lord who loves us so much. Then our relationships with our spouse, then children, and finally our communities.
Lastly, here is the weekly Mass lessons for the month of February February_2021_Teaching_the_Liturgical_Year_Final
Stay tuned, next week we will dive into the topic of Lent since it is right around the corner!
