It is here! The 4th and last Sunday in Advent. Even in this year of 2020 where plans are not as they used to be the time really went by fast and we are almost at Christmas. For this week, I would encourage you all to faithfully finish up your Jesse Trees and any other Advent devotion you have been doing. The temptation is to skip our faith in the last week of Advent, but the Lord still has work to do. By comparison maybe this week is like the few days (or week) before you have company coming over to your house. There are plenty of things to do, from last minute cleaning details to grocery pickups this is not a time to just sit back and forget about the reality of the company that will stay over at your house. And so is true with our hearts, prepare your heart for the coming of the Lord. Take time to do the things that matter such as prayer, spiritual reading, or even watching a religious Christmas movie. Do these things first for yourself and then for your children.
Also this week take some time with this fun lesson, complete with talking points, video, & activity, from The Religion Teacher that explores the significance of the Christmas Tree
