Good Morning, my name is Grace Carlson. My family and I moved to the Kings Grant area about 2½ years ago and immediately found St. Nicholas as the parish community we wanted to be a part of. Prior to that we lived in Chesapeake and for 11 years and were part of the St. Mary’s Bowers Hill community. At St. Mary’s I was involved in many parish activities including, Nursery Coordinator, Children’s Liturgy facilitator, Social Committee and of course Lector. When we came to St. Nicholas I took off some time from volunteering to get my family settled in. After a year I found that I had truly missed sharing the word of the Lord during mass and wanted to return to it. Since then I have also been involved with the Fall Festival. I t was a great joy to see how much fun the children and adults were having at this very important and yet fun event. Being part of such a great community has enriched my life and I hope that you to will find the same joy and fulfillment that I have. There are many opportunities to participate in our church community and I know everyone here will find at least one thing that will give you the same joy that I have found. Thank you.
