Stewardship Minutes

Stewardship Talk
Eileen Seeley

Hi, my mane is Eileen Seeley and I am a member of the 11 o’clock parish here at St. Nicholas. My husband, Dick, and I have been members of St. Nicholas for over fifteen years. I was very surprised when they asked me to share this minute for truly our contributions have not been large, but it goes to show perhaps—A LITTLE BIT MEANS A LOT. Dick and I do not have a lot of time or a lot of talent, but we’ve tried to help. Though out the years I have LECTORED and Dick has volunteered with MEALS ON WHEELS. We’ve helped with the FALL FLING, the FOOD PANTRY, and the LIBRARY. I look forward preparing food for the HOMELESS every February and working on FLOWER ARRANGEMENTS from time to time. Speaking of the flower arrangements, this ministry really needs more volunteers. Right now we enjoy helping with the COFFEE HOSPITALITY on the fourth Sunday of the month. This ministry is a great way to get to know your fellow parishioners and provide our little ones with an extra reason to come to church on Sundays. Remember, you don’t always have to serve in the same capacity forever. We have been involved in many ministries and there are still many other opportunities to serve. There’s a job for everyone. Our Fall Fling is coming up and every little bit of help with that effort will count. Think about signing up to bake a cake, paint a face, or help sort and price items for the sale. Our stewardship booklet states that, ”You can help yourself by helping others.”, this is so true So even if you just can give a little bit of your time, remember that it is appreciated and needed. I will be out in the vestibule after Mass to answer any questions. Hope to meet more members of the 5 o’clock parish and put you in contact with our various committees. Thank you so much for your time.
