The Parish Pastoral Council is the consultative body to the Pastor regarding
parish life and mission. As the leadership body of the parish, the
Council draws on the gifts of the laity in making recommendations to
the Pastor in order to fulfill the parish’s mission. It is composed of
elected and appointed members who coordinate programs and events
through its standing committees.
The mission of the St. Nicholas Pastoral Council is to dedicate our talents and time
as an advisory body to the Pastor and to call the community of the parish to grow in
Christian faith together by seeking God's vision
•focusing on love of God and neighbor;
•transmitting our Christian faith tradition to the next generation; and
•bringing the Good News into the communities where we live through cooperation with other faith traditions.
The Finance Council is a community of parish servant leaders distinct from
pastoral council, who are the advisory body to the pastor on all matters
pertaining to parish finances.
