Living Our Mission Campaign Projects –
Building Exterior Wall Repair & Renovation
Fr. Jun and the Building Repair & Renovation Team contracted the architecture firm, RRMM, in January, 2016. By May, the architects and committee had agreed upon a design concept for building exterior repairs containing some additional enhancements to the side entrance of the building. The construction project goal is to achieve the necessary repairs to protect our building from further water damage while also serving the future community of St. Nicholas parish with the addition of aesthetic and practical enhancements to the church.
Building Repair & Renovation Team
Building project activity and next steps:
Architecture firm, RRMM is contracted to complete construction plans and a cost analysis for the exterior wall repairs and west wing enhancements which includes the addition of a bell tower containing an ADA handicap elevator and a second story hallway to connect the three current halls.
Jun will submit the construction plans and cost analysis to BARC, the Diocesan Building and Renovation Commission, for their approval.
Once approved, the building repair and renovation design will be presented to the parish and campaign donors.
Jun and the repair and renovation team will solicit bids from at least three prospective construction companies.
Once approved by BARC, Fr. Jun will hire a construction company anticipated to begin by the end of the year.
Stay tuned to the parish website! We will post design concept drawings, photographs of the construction project, and more details as we journey together in Christ, living and loving our Church and her mission!
