An Easter Message from the Pastor

Hi brothers and sisters of Saint Nicholas Church!

I apologize to be late in presenting you my wishes on the occasion of Easter. There was a problem on the internet at Save the Children based in Maissade.

Thanks to God things are better now and I can assure you you are in my prayers and my thoughts specially during the awful time of war. I prayed for peace. I hope all the Parishioners who went to the Gulf war are back safely.

The Holy Week took me very busy. In the Thursday's morning mass I went to Hinche. But I arrived lately because of my not having a vehicle. In the afternoon we had the last supper Mass. On Friday morning, we had Via cross in the property Saint Nicholas helped to acquire. On Saturday night we had ten adults baptized. On Easter they did their first communion. At the Week end I went to a mission in the countryside for baptisms confessions and first communion.

The money is sent for the vehicle. I am just waiting its arrival. It can
take 3 months. It can take longer to take it out of The Customs because administration in Haiti is slow.

The high school is getting good. Parents are satisfied although they have difficulties to pay. Situation in the country is harder and harder.

I am fine. I hope it is the same by your side. On June 28th a son of Saint Ann's Parish will be ordained a priest. His name is Norvela Garcon. He has been studying in Roma.

I wish to every one at Saint Nick's a Joyful Easter. I will not forget the Twinning Committee whose devotion to Saint Ann's is more than courageous.

Happy Easter to All.

 Fr Leveque Bien-Aime.
